Fiber Optics to Link the Human Brain and Robotic Limbs

Science is finally catching up to science fiction!  Researchers at  South Methodist University are beginning to develop a "develop a two-way fiber optic communication between prosthetic limbs and peripheral nerves."  The goal is to interface a prosthetic limb with the human nervous system so the limb would not only move more realistically, but also "feel" heat and pressure.  It's just amazing what science can do!
