Extremity Games Results continued

If you have not checked out the Extremity Games (eXg) Results blog take a sec and hop back to that blog.  I had a couple more things to say about eXg...

As you know, Extremity Games is an event for "disabled" athletes.  If you have previously been to an eXg event you know that I use the term "disabled" lightly - more like adaptively ABLED!!!  I am all about an adventure sports!  And even more so when the athletes are NOT paid by the $$millions$$ and are just out charging at their respective sport, for the love of that sport!  Rock on!

I   LOVE   THIS   EVENT!!!!!  These athletes were killin' it out there.  I saw skaters hit double over head.  ARE YOU KIDDING ME... I get tingly just thinking about it!  And the roar of those motocross bikes is downright sexy!

Speaking of motocross, I had a chance to ride the track with one of our athletes, Jim Wazny.  We rode on a quad (4 wheeler for those not in the know) :) BTW, we rode a quad 'cause this gal does not (yet) have the wabos to do it on 2 wheels.  Anywho... I got a guided tour with The Waz.  And my response is "HOLY CRAP!"  Do you know what these guys do!?  It is awesome getting the guided tour because Jim explained things like speed, where he would be on the track and why.  He then came to the hills, jumps, rollers, etc... WTF you can't see the landing!  The guys who ride have BIG wabos... perhaps made of titanium!?  Bottom line, given the chance I would recommend the guided tour.  Thank Jim!

I digress... so skateboarding was sick!  I skate, but double overheard... not for this chicken.  How fantastic was it to see some of our up and comers trying it sitting down.  Talk about a new take on the sport - put your wheels down and roll on Homies!

Rock climbing... delicious!  There is something about ripped climbers arms that will keep me going to the gym for years to come!  I love the oohs and aahs of the crowd and the climbers would leap for a hold.  On belay baby!!

At wakeboarding, we saw some good old fashioned A-I-R and the crowd went wild!  And we got a wake skate demo from one of our paralympians Jim Bob Bizzel.  Nothing hotter than a Texan charging the wake.

Paddling started off peaceful... then the gloves came off and these athletes were shredding the water.  Ranger Bob was threatening citations for wake in the NO WAKE zone!

Mountain biking was a bit of a challenge... but as a biker, I will confirm that there is nothing better than coming back from a ride covered in DIRT.  The ride ain't over unless you gots dirt in the skirt!

FYI... the exclamation point in underrated, therefore I used it to its fullest in this post!!!  Did I mention that I LOVE THIS EVENT?  :)
