This is an opportunity for people with disabilities to come and check out all the great programs that are being offered at the St. Petersburg Sailing Center. No experience necessary! Participants will be given a tour of the facility, basic instruction on the sailboats and the opportunity to get out on the water with an instructor. Family members and companions are welcome to attend but may not get the opportunity to sail.
Participants must: Be age 7 or above Wear a life jacket (provided by the sailing center) Weigh less than 250lbs. Must have no known seizure disorders Bring a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses Reserve a spot by calling (727) 892-5196 prior to April 20.
Two time frames have been chosen where activities will be specifically designed to meet the needs of the participants.
9:00am to 12:00pm: Sailing for people with physical disabilities
12:00pm to 3:00pm: Sailing for people with developmental disabilities
